I have been coaching netball for 16 years. I also played netball in both primary and high school, and was selected for the Westrand netball team for many years. I am a graded umpire and have written my beginner and level 1 coaching exam achieving 95%. I have coached various age groups over the years, from u10 to 1st team in primary school and u18 in high school. I have a serious passion for netball and I love being a part of a players development and progression in the game. I also enjoy the comradery between players and coaches and seeing the girls have fun on the court.

Netball has been a big part of my life and I'm thrilled to share my passion for the game with all of you. I started playing netball in primary school and continued through most of high school. Those early years on the court were amazing, teaching me the importance of teamwork. 

After high school, I knew I wanted to keep netball in my life, so I started coaching. As your coach, my goal is to create a positive environment where everyone feels motivated, improves their skills and build up their confidence. I want you to love coming to practice and playing games as much as I do.

One thing I really believe in is personalizing my coaching to fit each player’s strengths and needs. Everyone is different, and that's what makes you special. Netball is not just about what happens on the court, it’s also about the life skills you pick up along the way.

Background
I have played netball since I was in grade 1 (u7)
High school years I played school netball, club netball for Randburg and action netball at fourways falcons.
I played action netball until 2022/2023,stopping due to knee injury-I am looking at going back at some stage.

It gives me great joy, pleasure and happiness when I am coaching as I can see the enjoyment and improvement in every young girl that I coach. My girls have made me so proud.
 

Netball is, at its core, a team sport. As a coach, I emphasize the value of teamwork and unity. Each player on the court has a unique role to play, and it is their passion and commitment that fuel our collective success. I believe in nurturing the spirit of camaraderie, encouraging players to support one another, and fostering an environment where everyone can thrive.

  I myself am still doing action netball on the weekends where I'm still learning new things. I've been involved in netball my whole life. It was a way for me to branch out and make new friends as well as learn new techniques after school. Netball helps girls with their coordination, fitness, speed and agility. We are there for the girls to grow and develop their skills. Coaching is about unlocking people's potential to maximise their own performance. It is more often helping them to learn rather than teaching them.
